Wind Light
Wind Light joins your Wi-Fi, you choose a place, and the body glows the direction the wind is coming from.
I’m finding out if people want one of these. If they do, I’ll start making them.
7 people have counted in.

01
Join the Wi-Fi
The cube connects to your network. The e-ink screen on the underside walks you through it with four keys: up, down, enter, back.
02
Choose a place
The first edition covers Western Australia, from Fremantle and Perth to Broome and Kununurra. You pick the coast or town the lamp should follow.
03
The wind arrives
The wind-light server sends the live direction. The cube changes colour. A south-westerly — the Fremantle Doctor — is violet. Still air is paper-white.
Try the function
Point it at a place. The colour follows.
This is a working model of the lamp. Live wind is read for the place you pick. The real cube does the same thing on its own, from the wind-light server.

Keys work. Up or down opens the menu, enter chooses a place, back steps out. On the real lamp the screen and keys sit on the underside of a 5 mm base. This view is enlarged so you can read it.
